3 Best Fat
Loss Exercises to Lose Pregnancy Weight

Every mom
wants to lose pregnancy weight. I know
that’s a big statement, but I haven’t come across too many moms
who weren’t concerned with their tummy fat, muffin tops, bra
fat and bat-wing arms.
Pregnancy
weight isn’t usually stored in the nicest of places (like those
I just mentioned), your clothes don’t fit the way they used to,
plus it’s just plain annoying to have to worry about pregnancy
weight when you’ve already got so much on your
plate.
I know your
first reaction is to get on the floor and do some crunches and
sit-ups, and hop on the treadmill for days on end, but that
should be your last action. Those types of exercises really
don’t do very much when it comes to how to lose pregnancy
weight.
They don’t
burn many calories, and they don’t cause much of a metabolism
change, which means they don’t burn any fat. Sure they work the
muscle a little, but the abs are a small muscle group
(relatively speaking) and doing thousands of crunches won’t do
much.
Cardio, as
it’s usually performed, is pretty overrated when it comes to
losing pregnancy weight and getting rid of your tummy fat, but
that’s another article for another time…
All moms
need to stick to the following 3 fat loss exercises when it
comes to how to lose pregnancy weight.
- Push-ups
- Squats
and/or Lunges
- Planks
Those 3
exercises (OK 4) all move a lot of muscle and will work your
entire body. I’ve actually created workouts for moms that
revolved around nothing but those fat loss
exercises.
And let me
tell you that any skepticism or doubts they had were quickly
erased once they gave the workout a try.
But why are
those exercises so effective in helping you lose pregnancy
weight and your tummy
fat?
First of
all, they move a lot of muscle, which means they burn a lot of
calories – even while you’re not working out.
Take the
push-up for example. Most moms hate push-ups because they can’t
do them very well, and they conjure up images of high school
where they were humiliated in gym class, but there are so many
variations that no mom should ever leave push-ups out of her
workout.
But let’s
take a look at what’s involved. The push-up not only works your
chest (a spot many women need to work just for posture
reasons), but they also work the shoulders, triceps and
abs.
Now tell me
if that wasn’t a checklist of what virtually every mom wants
help with.
That’s
pretty much 3 exercises all rolled into one, which means that
not only do you get a great fat loss exercise in, but you also
save some of your precious free time!
Let’s move
on to the squat and lunge. The same arguments I had for the
push-up, I have for squats and lunges…
…they work
A LOT of muscle. They work every muscle in your lower body,
plus your abs.
As for
Planks, well, they give you far more fat loss bang for your
buck than any crunch or sit-up because they strengthen the
entire core, rather than just focusing on the abdominal wall
(which is a pretty small muscle, relatively
speaking).
Not only do
they work your entire core, but your chest, shoulders, triceps,
back and glutes are also working overtime just to keep your
body in that position.
Tell me
what abs exercise can do all that? Certainly not crunches and
sit-ups.
Put all 3
of those exercises together in a circuit and you have yourself
a killer, full body fat loss workout that will help you lose
pregnancy weight and obliterate your mommy
belly!
I know I
said "they work a lot of muscle" quite often throughout this
article and that scares a lot of moms. They get these images in
their minds of giant, hulking men and women with huge muscles
and grunting a lot.
Don’t worry
because it won’t happen to you. 99.9% of women just can’t gain
muscle that easily so there’s no need to worry about getting
big and "bulky."
Plus, if it
makes you feel any better, my 115-pound wife uses more weight
than any woman I have ever trained and she is far from bulky.
She has a sexy toned and tight body and lost her pregnancy
weight pretty quickly by adhering to my fat loss workout
principles.
You should
read her story…it just might inspire you to take some
action!
