There’s a lot of misinformation, lies and
myths out there about what a good weight
loss diet food is.
The marketers and grocery stores will
tell you that a good weight loss diet food comes in an
individual package and that it’s some sort of candy bar looking
thing that either tastes horrible, or it tastes like a candy
bar.
The truth is those things are usually
just as bad for you as a candy bar is, no matter what the
marketing or spokesperson says.
A true weight loss diet food has to have
a few common traits.
It must be as close to "real" as
possible. It should not be some overly-processed food product
that looks like a candy bar and tastes like
cardboard.
It should be as close to natural as
possible.
Second, it should be high in fiber,
protein and vitamins and minerals. Your body needs these things
and if you want to lose weight, you must pay attention to
them.
Having said that, here are a few of my
favorite weight loss diet foods.
Almonds – Almonds are an excellent weight
loss diet food because they’re high in protein, fiber and
healthy fats. They’re also very portable, which makes them an
excellent on-the-go snack.
Apples – Just like almonds,
apples are also loaded with fiber and vitamins and
phytonutrients, plus they’re easy to take anywhere.
Not only that, but they’re also low in
calories. I know you may have heard that fruit isn’t something
you should eat if you’re on a weight loss diet, but that’s a
terrible lie.
Broccoli – Broccoli is another
awesome weight loss diet food because it’s loaded with fiber.
Fiber helps you feel full, which means you won’t be able to eat
as much at one time.
It’s also loaded with phytonutrients,
vitamins and minerals, which will help keep your immune system
healthy and strong.
Did you happen to notice anything about
those 3 weight loss diet foods?
For one thing, they’re all loaded with
fiber, vitamins, phytonutrients and minerals. All things that
the body needs, regardless of whether you want to lose weight
or just be healthy.
Another very important factor with those
3 weight loss foods is that they’re all portable. Meaning you
can take them with you pretty much anywhere without making a
mess or worrying about them getting spoiled.
That’s something that’s very important to
consider with a weight loss diet food. There are going to be
many times when you can’t take the time to prepare a good meal.
You’ve got too many things going on in your life and it’s
ridiculous to think that you’ll always be able to be home for a
meal.
However, if you plan ahead and pack some
fat burning foods like those 3 listed above, you won’t sabotage
your weight loss diet and will stick to your
goals.
