How To Lose Fat If You're
A Busy Mom

About a year ago I had a woman named Anne
come see me because she wanted to know how
to lose fat.
She was a mom with a busy family life and
career and didn’t have much time to spend working
out.
She wasn’t out to hire me as her personal
trainer, rather she wanted me to design a fat loss programs
where she could do all the workouts from
home and that didn’t take much time.
This was my favorite type of fat loss
workout program to design!
However, before Anne left my office, we
also talked some more about how to lose fat and how that
differed for a busy mom as opposed to a dad or someone without
kids or someone who had more time to devote to fat loss
workouts.
Not many people realize this, but
answering the ‘how to lose fat’ question does differ for busy
moms and here’s how:
Moms need to schedule
some alone time. It doesn’t need to be a lot of alone
time, just enough to get your workout done and get a little
sanity break. I understand that you have things to do or that
you want to spend time with your family, but when it comes to
how to lose fat and succeeding with losing fat, you need to get
that alone time in, otherwise your fat loss workout won’t get
done.
So, shut your bedroom or home gym door,
turn on some music or your favorite TV show and get your fat
loss workout done.
The next step moms need to focus on when
it comes to ‘how to lose fat’ is you need to steer clear of the worthless exercises. By that I
mean moms should stay away from the isolation moves like
triceps kickbacks, hip abductor/adductor moves (thigh master
movements) and endless amounts of crunches and
cardio.
Those exercises are fine, but they really
don’t help you lose fat and get a toned, sexy body. They’re
largely wastes of time when time is of the essence.
Moms also need to spend some time and focus
on healthy, on-the-go snacks that will help you lose fat
rather than gain it.
You’re on the go a lot and that often
means you either forgo eating until you get so hungry you
splurge on something, or you graze on unhealthy snacks that are
there for the taking.
Get over both of those situations by
preparing portable snacks that will help you lose fat. Snacks
like almonds, apples, pears, peanuts, protein bars, etc. Things
that travel easily and don’t make much of a mess, and most
importantly help you lose fat.
Fat loss for moms really comes down to
maximizing the time you have and doing the most you can with
it.
As you can see, what I recommended to
Anne wasn’t Rocket Science, or some whacko fad diet. It was
common sense advice that could be implemented by any mom, all
she needed to do was do it. And she did and she lost over 15
pounds in the first 6 weeks!
