Weight Loss for Busy
Moms

Dads
The biggest number of clients I see in my
training studio are moms.
More specifically, the biggest number of
clients I see in my training studio who want to lose weight are moms.
A lot of dads are aloof to their growing
stomach and don’t really care if they’re gaining weight, moms
on the other hand not only want to lose weight, but they also
want to be able to have the energy to keep up with their kids
and have the energy to make it through the day without
collapsing.
Plus, they want to look good, which is
perfectly fine. That’s one of the primary reasons I do fat loss
workouts. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to look better in
your clothes and naked...vanity is good.
However, many moms are indoctrinated with
some faulty teachings when they enter my studio.
They’ve been told for years that in order
to lose weight they need to focus on cardio and fad diets,
which does nothing but lead to yo-yoing and
heartache.
Moms need to stop focusing so much on
cardio and start working out for shorter periods of time, and
more intensely. You’ll get a lot more "bang for your weight
loss buck". You’ll get to spend more time with your family. You
won’t have to worry about heading to the gym where you have to
worry about getting stared at or feeling stupid for doing some
of the exercises, or not knowing how to use all those
machines.
Weight loss for moms shouldn’t be overly
complex or complicated. You’ve got enough things to worry
about, you shouldn’t have to worry about what a weight loss
workout looks like, or which machines to use, etc.
Weight loss for moms also should not
focus on many of the traditional weight loss exercises and
toning exercises.
Exercises like endless amounts of
crunches, sit-ups, and any other abs exercise won’t lead to the
weight loss you’re after. Nor will the "Thigh Master" type
exercises and machines that so many women’s magazines tell you
do to do to lose weight from your thighs.
Those just aren’t intense enough and
don’t get your body burning fat the way full body 10 minute
workouts do.
In order for moms to be successful in
their weight loss efforts, they need to focus on full body
weight loss workouts and full body weight loss
exercises.
These exercises and workouts need to be
short, but intense so that you can get on with your
life.
You’re a mom…you shouldn’t have to worry
about trying to find hours upon hours of time each week to head
to and from the health club. That’s just not
practical.
You also need to stop focusing on those
weight loss diets that you find in magazines and on the
bestseller’s list at the bookstore. Those are all fad diets and
are pushed by major media outlets and PR firms to do one thing.
Make lots of money.
They really don’t care about your health
and well-being, nor do they care about whether or not you
succeed.
If they can convince you that all you
have to do is follow their super-restrictive diet or follow
their "secret plan" and get you to lose a couple pounds in a
week, they know you’ll be hooked on their weight loss
plan.
The problem is they’re all virtually the
same. Extremely restrictive weight loss
diets that limit what you can eat and tell you to avoid
certain food groups.
The next time you’re tempted to follow
one of these weight loss diets or weight loss plans, I want you
to ask yourself if this is something you can stick with for an
entire year. If not, ask yourself if it gives you a weight loss plan on what to do when the diet
is over.
If it seems too restrictive, put it back
and move on.
A weight loss plan for moms should focus
on fast workouts, and common sense weight loss
nutrition.
It should not focus on gimmicks or fads,
nor should it scare you into believing that theirs is the only
way.
