It’s Workout Time!!
Over
the recent past I have been tinkering with my 10-minute workout “flow” trying to make it the best and most effective use of your
time and I think what I’ve been using lately is pretty wicked.
I call it Fusion Conditioning and it’s a great way to burn a ton of
calories in a little bit of time, while also working those trouble spots we all love to hate (and even making you
stronger).
Why call it a Fusion Conditioning Fat Loss
Workout? Because it’s cool and I’m cool, so there. Actually, the reason I’m naming it Fusion
Conditioning is because it’s a fusion, or blending, of strength and resistance training exercises with more
up-tempo metabolic exercises, which is designed to kick your butt (sweat!), make you breathe heavily (burn
calories), increase strength and burn fat. I’ll demonstrate it by showing you a quick video with a 4-exercise
circuit.
I want you to do the circuit as many times possible in 10-15 minutes – that means rest the least amount
possible. First, watch the video and then look below and you’ll find the rundown of the exercises and a little more
information...
Fusion Conditioning Fat Loss
Workout
Pretty wicked, right? Do that puppy for 10-15 minutes, after warming up, and you’ll be sufficiently worked…he
says while fiendishly rubbing his hands and maniacally laughing!
Again, I want you to go through that circuit as many times possible in 10-15 minutes and only rest when you
absolutely need to. If you’re just a little winded…don’t rest – the point is to work, be winded and feel as though
you’ve gone through a workout.
It's supposed to feel uncomfortable :)
If you’d like, you are more than welcome to go through the Fusion Conditioning Fat Loss Workout for 10-minutes, rest a couple minutes an then do it again for another
10-minutes.
That’s what I’ve asked folks to do in the 28-Day Challenge, and that’s how I do them in my
personal workouts and it works fantabulously!
A common question I receive when giving this style of workout program to clients is whether that's "all" they
have to do, or is there something extra like cardio or more resistance workouts. I understand the question,
but there's nothing extra that needs to be done.
Can you do more? Sure! Do you have to? Nope.
What if you really, really want to do more? I gave you a few variations up above, but you could also add
10-15 minutes of Interval Training AFTER doing the Fusion Conditioning to increase fat loss. One
nice thing about doing your interval training after the Fusion Conditioning workout is that you don't have to spend
extra time warming up since you're already revved, warm and prepared.
You could also add an add-on workout or two that focus on specific pars of your body. Want to focus
on your arms? Try adding a 3-exercise circuit that lasts 5-7 minutes after the FC workout. Want to
focus on your abs? Add some Burpees, Plank Extensions and Reverse Crunches in a circuit format for 5-7
minutes.
Want to do both? Be my guest!
The cool thing about this style of 10-minute workout is that it's flexible depending upon your energy
levels, how busy your day is, or whether you want to do more. 10 minutes is cool, but the option is
always there for more!
Sound cool? Of course it does!
