In addition to being a busy dad, I'm also a personal trainer and massage therapist with a very busy business.  I have logged thousands of pesonal training sessions every year and continue to do so.

 

I have been running my own private personal training studio in Lincoln, Nebraska for years and have been a personal trainer for close to a decade.

 

I'm going to tell you a little story that quite frankly is a little embarrassing.  It's embarrassing because I'm a personal trainer.

 

I'm supposed to be the fittest guy in ther room.  There should be no question about my fitness level just because of my profession.

 

I mean how can I tell somebody else how to lose fat and get in shape with what I'm about to tell you.

 

When my wife was pregnant with our little girl, Maren, I could not have been happier.  I was ecstatic at the thought of being a dad.

 

Then the thoughts started to creep in.  You know the thoughts I'm talking about.  "Do I make enough money to raise a family?"  "Will I be a good enough dad?"

 

Those kinds of questions.  The kinds of questions that eat at you.

 

So I decided that I needed to be even busier than I already was in order to make sure that I made enough money to raise my new family.  I was already working to the bone, but I thought I needed to do more.

 

Add to that the fact that we decided we needed to buy a new house for our growing family.  We had some difficulty with that added a lot of stress to our already stressful/happy lives.

 

Then in the Fall of 2006, my wife and I were invited to a birthday party for a client of mine.  We went and had a great time.  Everybody oogled over my very pregnant wife and talked about how wonderful it is to have a family.

 

While we were eating and talking, someone wanted to take our picture.  We gladly obliged.

 

Fast forward a couple weeks and I got a copy of that picture from my client.  I was taken aback.

 

I couldn't believe how big I looked!  And not the kind of big that most guys like to hear.  My pants looked a little too tight, and my sweater was a little too tight and my face looked "pudgy".

 

I'm a personal trainer!  I'm not supposed to look "pudgy"!

 

Then later in the day, I went with my wife to one of her last doctor's appointments before the delivery of our daughter.

 

After the nurse weighed her, I got on the scale.  I couldn't believe my eyes!  The scale said that I'd gained 16 pounds!  I was the heaviest I had ever been.  The worst part was that it had only been a couple months!

 

I didn't believe the scale, so I went home and got on our scale and it said the same thing.  I felt defeated.

 

But then I got to thinking about my life over the previous couple months.  It was very stressful.

 

I didn't have a lot of time to devote to exercise and I began to eat poorly...comfort foods if you will.

 

We had to move to a new house, prepare the house for the baby, I had to run my very busy business and I still had the stress of becoming a new father.

 

But I was sickened.  I couldn't believe that I had gained that much weight.  It just crept up on me and now none of my pants fit!

 

I had to come up with something to get that nasty gut off me.

 

I had to come up with something that would not only get me in the best shape of my life, but do it with the little free time I had to devote to workouts.

 

I wanted to be there for my wife and new baby.  I didn't want to have to spend hours in my studio hitting the weights and working out or hours on the treadmill doing cardio in an effort to get rid of my newfound belly fat.

 

Plus I had to come up with a program that I could do at home if I needed to.  I wanted to have the option of doing these workouts, in a very short period of time, out of my home so I could spend as much time possible at home.

 

I love my studio, but I'm not a fan of commercial gyms.  I think they waste way too much time. 

 

They waste time by driving to and from your home, they waste time because you have to wait for equipment, they waste time because you have to actually "get ready" to go to the gym.  You can't just roll out of bed and head to the gym like you can if you were to work out at home.

 

Plus most gyms are noisy and they stink and have weirdos wandering around that leave pools of sweat on the benches and hog the equipment.

 

The program I came up with helped me lose over 5 1/2 inches off my waist line in a little over 12 weeks.  I only lose 10 pounds, though, which meant that while I was losing fat I actually gained muscle.

 

Lots of guys have been told that it's impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, but that' a myth.  My shoulders got broader, my back got bigger and stronger, my chest became enviable and my waist line got down to around 30-31 inches.

 

I had never been in better shape!  Sure my waist had been that small before, but I was also 20 pounds lighter and just out of high school.

 

Not only that, but the workouts I did only took 15 minutes per day!  I didn't follow some special, secret diet that only fitness models and personal trainers know about.  I didn't step foot into a commercial gym and many of my workouts were done at home.

 

I know what you might be thinking.  10 pounds and 5 1/2 inches isn't that big of a deal when you may have 20, 30, or more pounds to lose.  I understand your disbelief or frustration, but you have to understand something.  I'm a fitness professional.  I was in good shape before I came up with this program, then I was doughy, then I got in great shape after.  I'm in better shape now than I was before I came up with this program and all I changed was the workouts I did.

 

I started working out less and got better results!  How can you argue with that?  I was able to get more effective workouts in the time most guys are still doing their warm-ups or jabbering to their buddies in the gym.

 

I quit doing longer workouts, that were just a waste of time, and started doing shorter workouts that were more intense and had a much better effect on me, not only in my physique but also in my energy levels.  I didn't have to worry about fitting in long workouts anymore, which left me more time to spend with my family and doing things I enjoy.

 

Not only that, but I'm honest.  There are a lot of "personal trainers" out there who lie in their supposed before and after stories just to get you to buy their crappy product.  Some even gain weight on purpose to use as their before story.  That's not me.

 

I'm not a used car salesman or some modern day snake oil salesman just looking to make a quick buck by lying and cheating.  I want to go to sleep every night knowing that I did the best I could and told the truth.

 

Anyway...

 

After I had my fantastic results, I began to think about all the other guys out there just like me.  Guys who had been in great shape before, but have lost their lean physique because of stress, family or just lack of free time.  Or guys who have never been able to get in great shape and know what it feels like to have abs or strong arms and broad shoulders.  There were so many busy guys out there just like me who needed to learn how to lose their stubborn stomach fat.

 

And even though I'm a dad...

So what exactly is Fat Loss To Go?

Before I tell you everything you'll learn in Fat Loss To Go is, let me tell you what it's NOT.

1.  Fat Loss To Go is NOT based on spending hours upon hours every week working out and doing endless amounts of cardio hoping and praying that it will burn fat and help you get rid of your gut.

I don't know about you, but I hate cardio.  The thought of running on a treadmill for an hour makes me want to run away screaming. 

When I designed this program, I knew there was no way I could even think about spending a lot of time doing cardio.  I was just too busy.

That seems counterintuitive to what every guy I have ever spoken to about fat loss has learned.  They seem hell bent on the idea that in order to lose fat, they must go out and hit the pavement and run for miles or slave away on the treadmill, elliptical, stairstepper or stationary bike.

That's an outdated and backwards way of looking at fat loss and science is finally catching up to what some of the best "in the know" fitness professionals have been teaching for years.

The way I did my cardio, and how I instruct all my training clients, was interval training.  Some were very receptive to this new idea, while some were very skeptical.

They were very hesitant to give up their normal way of doing cardio.  They thought that doing long bouts of boring cardio was the only way to lose fat because that's what they've always been told.

That's what they read in all the magazines and workout books.

That's what all their buddies told them.

That's what personal trainers have been telling them for years.

I asked all those skeptical guys the same question and I'll ask it to you right now and I want you to answer it honestly.

"If what you've been doing, or been told by 'experts' for years hasn't been working, why do you keep doing it?"

If you've been doing hours upon hours of cardio in hopes that one day you'll lose all that stomach fat, yet it never seems to come off, shouldn't you give something else a try?

Maybe something that takes less time, but yields far better results?

Something that will have you in and out of the gym (home or commercial) in as little as 15 minutes?

Something that will have you feeling AWESOME and with more energy than ever?

More energy to devote to your kids, family, hobbies or whatever you want to spend time doing?

To be totally honest, I can't remember the last time I did any sort of cardio for longer than 25 minutes.  Sure I go for walks with my wife and daughter and take my dog for walks, but that's different.  That doesn't count when it comes to fat loss.

2.  Fat Loss To Go does NOT tell you that in order to get rid of your gut and lose fat quickly, you have to take some miracle fat loss pill.

There's no such thing as a miracle fat loss pill.  There's no secret herb that's grown in some far off jungle that's been kept a secret by some never heard of tribe that will magically burn fat.

Most fat loss pills are just herbal stimulants that make you pee a lot and mess with your nervous system in an attempt to raise your metabolism...slightly.

Let me ask you one quick question.

If pharmaceutical companies have advertising and research and development budgets in the billions, then why haven't they come up with a worthwhile weight loss pill?  Sure they've come up with a couple, but those have all been pulled from the shelves because of their nasty little side effects.

You know those mild side effects like death, heart attack, stroke, etc.  Or my favorite was the one that was pulled from the shelves because people didn't want to take a pill that made them soil their pants.  They didn't call this a side effect, however, they called it a "treatment effect".

What a crock!

But you know what?  That pill was "dumbed down" and made available over the counter and is advertised as the only "FDA approved weight loss pill".  It still makes you soil your pants!

Not only that, but these companies outright lie when it comes to their supposed "success stories".  These are people that have been paid, and paid well, to follow a strict diet and exercise regimen...while taking their pills and then claim it was all about the supplement!

Well, what would happen if those people would have just followed the diet and exercised?  They would have achieved the same exact results.

3.  Fat Loss To Go is NOT about buying some silly abs gizmo on an infomercial or doing 1000's of crunches per day in order to get a flat stomach and lose stomach fat.

Do you really think that the ripped fitness models used in those commercials used those contraptions to get those lean, muscular bodies?

Do you think the super lean guy, without an ounce of fat on his stomach, the bullet proof chest and broad shoulders actually used some cheap piece of plastic to burn fat?

No!

And if you were suckered into buying one of those, I'm sorry to break it to you but you were ripped off with each easy installment of 30 bucks.

Sure some of them may be alright when it comes to strengthening the abdominal muscles, but they do absolutely nothing when it comes to burning stomach fat.

Abdominal exercises and ab working gadgets do not burn fat off your stomach.  The only way you can burn stomach fat is through short, but intense, full body workouts and short, but intense, bouts of smart cardio.

Doing endless amounts of crunches, sit-ups, torso twists, leg lifts, etc. will not give you ripped abs nor will it help you lose stomach fat.  It simply won't.

You cannot spot reduce.

And again, I'll go back to the question I asked in the cardio lie.  If you've been doing thousands of crunches in an effort to lose your gut, and you haven't seen the results you're after, shouldn't you try something new?

The main focus of my Fat Loss To Go program is on total body training.  By doing total body training, as I teach it, you will burn the fat off your stomach, chest, and all your trouble spots in less time than you ever thought possible.

In fact, virtually every exercise used in Fat Loss To Go is an abs exercise.  Your abs work hard with every single exercise and every single repetition!

4.  The nutrition information found in Fat Loss To Go DOES NOT tell you that in order to lose fat fast and get the lean body you've always wanted you have to totally cut out carbohydrates and eat lots of protein and fat.  Or is it eat lots of carbohydrates and protein while cutting out the fat?  Or maybe you can eat whatever you want as long as you cut out the sugar?

Fad diets will come and go, but the truth always remains the same.

Just because some Hollywood actor lost tons of weight with some crazy fad diet, doesn't mean it'll stay off, nor does it mean it's true.  He could've been paid by the company and just stopped eating.  It is Hollywood after all.

And just because your best friend, brother, or dad has lost 10 pounds on this new diet doesn't mean it's going to stay off once he quits the diet.

And he will quit the diet, just like he's done countless times before.

Whenever you hear about some new diet, I want you to ask yourself a question.  How're you supposed to eat when the diet ends?

Most fad diets are supposed to come to an end, right?  I mean you can't actually be expected to stick to that super restricted diet for the rest of your life, are you?

So how are you supposed to eat when you go off the diet?  Does the author tell you that you can go back to your regular eating habits?  You know the ones that made you gain all that lovely fat around your gut and chest.

Or are you actually supposed to stick to that stupid diet for the rest of your life? 

Are you supposed to feel irritable and cranky forever?

There's got to be a better way, right?

There is and I go over all the healthy eating habits in Fat Loss To Go and this is something that you can stick to forever because it's NOT a diet.  I hate the word diet.
